MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day site operations. Ensure efficient operations with minimum equipment downtime and quality production.

  • Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management process. Build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.

  • Ensure a safe, clean and secure working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules and regulations

  • Oversee all design activities, including engineering. Support new product development and provide insight on product design and design specifications.

  • Oversee A/R activities for the site. Reconcile accounts to ensure timely payments. Identify problem accounts and provide timely solutions. Monitor outstanding account balances for determination of necessary collection steps or escalation.

  • Direct and coordinate all activities within the site: coordinate requirements with leadership, sales, engineering, procurement, production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, quality functions and technology centers.

  • Ensure compliance of all products and procedures to the Quality system. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Plan, promote, organize and present training activities related to product quality issues and FDA QSR criteria.

  • Interface with various vendors and subcontractors regarding equipment and facility improvements / upgrades.

Management responsibilities:

  • Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution or office environments

  • Day-to-day operations of a group of employees

  • May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact

  • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies

  • Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning

  • Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree; minimum three to five year’s related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; previous manufacturing operations experience required.

Work Experience:

  • At least 4 years production/manufacturing or operations experience.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • MS Office (Word, Excel) required; SAP experience a plus

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
